Christmas Events 2020

Well what a year 2020 has been . . a year that we totally didn’t expect but here we are in the run up to Christmas already! We’d usually be busy planning all sorts of Christmas events and as most of you know we had a big fundraising evening last year which we were hoping to build on this year as it was a great opportunity for parents to spend time in the setting and also for us to fundraise for our little superstar Harry. However, we can not do our ‘usual’ Christmas events but we want to make it as fun and exciting for the children as we possibly can.
The staff and children have started to make the nursery look very festive . . . they have been busy decorating their Christmas trees whilst listening to Christmas music. Although . . . we have noticed that some of our decorations need updating so we would be glad of any decoration donations!
CHRISTMAS DINNER
On Wednesday 16th December our lovely cook Lisa will be making a traditional Christmas dinner for the nursery. we will be having a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and for pudding we will be having a chocolate log! The staff will be wearing Christmas jumpers again on this day . . . the children are more than welcome to join us too!
PARTY WEEK
This year we have planned a ‘party week’ so all of our children and their bubbles have the opportunity to play with their friends, join in the party games and get involved in the Christmas spirit. Your child is more than welcome to come along each day wearing their Christmas jumpers or party outfits.
We normally ask for a donation towards the Christmas party and towards their present and visit off Santa . . . Unfortunately this year Santa won’t be able to attend the party but each child will still receive their present and any donations towards this would be much appreciated.
CHRISTMAS CARDS

CHRISTMAS SING-A-LONG
We are busy learning lots of Christmas songs and instead of inviting you in to watch our sing-a-long we are hoping to post clips of these on our Facebook page for you all to see.
SANTA KEYS AND REINDEER DUST
We have Santa’s magic keys and reindeer dust available to purchase in nursery . . . 50p each. Please let us know if you would like either.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
Nursery will close for the Christmas break on Thursday 24th December and re open on Monday 4th January 2021. The funded children will finish on Friday 18th December and return on Monday 4th January 2021.
We wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas break and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for some ‘normality’ in 2021!
